"Good job," said Lance. "If someone (he rolled his eyes at Sophie) had let me talk, I was going to block out the sound and thought going to his head, kind of making him insane for a little bit. He would not be able to follow instructions, and the connection would have been lost. What you did worked to though. So, there is one thing left to do." He knelt beside Eddie and took out a small bottle of Veritaserum from his cloak, the bottle he had intended to use earlier that day. Eddie was still confused and dazed, lying on the ground. Lance dropped a little into his open mouth.

(OOC: We really love Veritaserum, don't we?)
Deanna snorted at Lance's eyeroll. She thought both he and Sophie were being a little immature. But when he knealt before Eddie, Deanna joined Lance. Eddie's head lolled around for a moment and his features slid out of focus.
"What is your name?" Deanna asked.
"Eddie Van Depron," he said quietly. Deanna noticed he was trembling.

Dana saw from her position at the door that Lance had just poured a liquid into the bound man's mouth. Her years training as an Auror, as well as her knowledge of working with the contact, told her precisely that Lance had used Veritaserum.
Also, she knew that the contact had controlled the young man, Eddie, she thought his name was, and she also knew that he would not want his identity, or the identity of his associates revealed.
Transforming as quietly as she could, Dana withdrew her wand, and pointing it at Eddie, muttered, "Obliviate," before transforming back into her Animagus form and running down the hall and out of sight.

Sophie didn't think it was fair to give Eddie the potion, but really it was that deep down she didn't want to know the truth, she didn't want to hear it, she just could bear it if the truth wasn't what she had thought it was. She heard a muttering, probably just the wind.
"Did you hear that?" she whispered to Lance who was closest, but also to show him she held nothing against him. She was afraid that her stress had taken over and made her a little crazy. She still didn't agree but argueing over it wasn't going to help anything. After all his plan had been better than nothing, and she was thankful for it.

"What happened?" Deanna asked Eddie.
"I don't know," he said, pleadingly. "Who are you?"
Deanna bit her lip. How could he not know what happened? And how did he not know her name? Hadn't Sophie just introduced them?

"Eddie, this is my friend, Deanna. I just told you," Sophie said worried. Had the spell had some bad effects? She didn't thinks it would, but why couldn't he remember. She reached a hand out to touch his arm, but he pulled it away.
"What's wrong with you?" she asked him indignantly.

"Who are you?" Eddie asked.
"Somethings wrong. This is real Virtrusirim. I got it from the ministries stash myself! Who are you?" he asked Edie.
"Well, I am Eddie, thank you very much. Who are you, and how did I get on the floor. Last thing I remember, I was coming home from dinner with Sophie. Sophie, did you follow me home? Who is this guy?"

"No, Eddie, we haven't been out for dinner since before you left on your trip. Don't you remember?"

"His memory must have been tampered with. Either the person who cast the Imperius curse made him react with Veritaserum, or there's someone else in the room," Deanna said, looking around slowly. "I'm guessing they either own an invisibility cloak, or preformed a good dissillusion charm."
Deanna walked around the room, wand at the ready. She felt the walls, knocked on them, checking for hollow spots. When her search proved fruitless, she turned back to the group.
"Either he's reacted to the Veritaserum," Deanna said solemnly. "Or the person who preformed the Memory Charm is gone. We are being followed."
Deanna bit her lip and willed herself not to cry. She looked at Lance.
"Had you not worried about protocols, I could've found an Order member to heal Eddie. Elphias Doge is a head Healer at St. Mungos. He works for the Order... Or I could've asked Hestia Jones, another Order member," Deanna's voice began soft and accusitory, but soon it cracked. "Or we could've taken him to Hogwarts, Madam Pomfrey woud've helped, or we could've..."
Deanna cleared her throat.
"There's no use crying over spilt potion... We should get him to St. Mungo's now. Maybe they can retrieve his memory," she whispered to both Sophie and Lance. "Let's just go."
Deanna grasped Eddie's shirt and apparated with him to St. Mungo's. She spoke curtly to the dummy outside the hospital and helped Eddie stand upright and they walked to the front desk. A blonde welcome witch sat there, looking rather distressed.
"Excuse me, m'am," Deanna said to her. "I'm looking for Healer Jones and Healer Doge. Can you direct me to where either of them are?"
The blonde witch sighed, "Yes. But, Healer Jones is on her lunch break right now and Healer Doge is with a patient."
Deanna shrugged. "I know Hestia. She'll talk to me. Can you tell me where she's taking her lunch break?"
"I don't normally tell patients where the Healers go for lunch. It's protocol," the blonde witch said primly.
Deanna sighed, "Alright. Fine."
"Would you like to fill out a waiting list form? Or you can talk to another Healer," suggested the blonde witch.
"No, that's okay," Deanna said cheerfully. "I think I'll just take my friend outside." She nodded to Eddie. "Let's go, Eddie."
"Are we friends then?" he asked, dazed. "I thought you were Sophie's friend..."
"I'm her friend too," Deanna said, leading him outside.
She helped Eddie lean against the building as she sent her lepeord patronus to Hestia.
"Where's the dementor?" asked Eddie.
"Never mind. Just be quiet," Deanna snapped.
"I thought we were friends...." Eddie babbled on.
Just then, she saw Sophie and Lance apparate by the glass booth with the dummy inside it.
"Guys over here!" Deanna shouted.
Lance and Sophie turned and walked toward her. When they were close by Deanna filled them in.
"So I waiting for Hestia's patronus- a bear - to respond," Deanna finished. "So now we wait."

"I don't want to sound paranoid or like I wish this would happen to someone else," Sophie said staring at her feet, "but does this have to happen to the people I love and care about."
She looked around at the others in the waiting room, wondering wether any of them knew how she felt. She was sure some of them did, but other, most of the other may never know.

"Sophie, it's okay. It just seems that way because a lot is being thrown at you right now. Once this is all over things will... well, not be normal... but things will get better," Deanna said, patting Sophie on the back.

"Thanks," Sophie said.
"Eddie Van Derpron," a womans voice interrupted loudly in the waiting area.
"This is us, I guess," Sophie said, casting a glance at Eddie who stared inquisitively at the room and the people around him.

(sorry, I have been away for a while. I should have told somone)
Each of the others stepped back into he hospital. Lance was about to step through the glass when something cool and warm- somehow both at the same time) brushed against him. He turned around to see an impressive silver bear. It opened its mouth, and out came the voice of Hestia.
"Its a trap, St. Mungos has been compromised by the enemy. I just made it out in time... Doge did not. Anyone in the order was killed, all secretly taken out. They seemed to know exactly who was in the order..."
Lance was shocked. The people inside had probably just figured out who they where, and invited them back in. He drew his wand. He had to go back in and help. He thanked the bear, who disappeared, shot a quick hawk-bound message to Jones, and was about to step through the glass when out of it, looking in horrible shape and badly bleeding came-

Kingsley Shacklebolt, and Dana watched the tall, black Auror stumble towards Lance. He was in bad shape, but she couldn't overhear anything that he was saying to Lance.
From her position on the other side of the room, Dana could only watch the events taking place inside the hospital. "He" had told her not to interfere on either side of the conflict, whether there was a major fight or not.
She had followed Lance, Deanna, Sophie, and Eddie to the hospital after they'd left the apartment building, but not before sending a message to the contact to alert him of the events.

What is going on? Sophie thought. She didn't understand. What are they after? First Emily, than herself, than Eddie, and that poor man who just exited the hospital. The last twenty-four hours had been the worst of her life. She was beginning to feel light headed. Someone very strong grabbed her saying, "Don't faint, Sophie. Come on." But she fell into his arms, no longer conscious of her surroundings. The voice had seemed familiar, it was Jason's(her attacker's) brother. In the brief moment before she fell she wondered which side he was with, he had never seemed bad at all.
